Microsoft Entra ID: identity and access for businesses

We design and implement identity and access controls with Microsoft Entra ID: authentication, Conditional Access, privileges and the management of users, guests and applications.

We review your current configuration and plan changes with your IT team. Policies are tested with representative groups and supported by recovery procedures, documentation and access validation.

Identity and access

Clear access rules for Microsoft 365 and Azure

MFA exceptions, standing administrative roles and guests left behind after projects often accumulate over the years. An identity review brings these decisions under control and establishes who can access what, under which conditions and for how long.

MSAdvance helps define an access model suited to your users, devices and applications. We assess dependencies before applying policies and coordinate deployment with IT, security and support owners. The aim is to leave controls your team can administer and maintain after the project.

  • Policies tailored to user groups and applications.
  • Access and recovery tested before extending changes.
  • Roles and procedures documented for your IT team.

When it makes sense

When to review identity and access

Accumulated MFA exceptions

Some users are excluded from MFA, authentication methods vary or registration and recovery cause recurring incidents.

Standing administrative privileges

Highly privileged accounts are used for routine work, without a clear review of who needs each role.

Guest access without review

Guests, joiners and leavers are managed manually, making it difficult to confirm whether each access permission is still needed.

Service scope

Microsoft Entra ID consulting and implementation

Identity assessment

We inventory the users, groups, roles, authentication methods and applications in scope. We review policies, exceptions and available signals to produce a prioritized list of risks and actions.

MFA and authentication

We design authentication requirements for each user group and define registration and recovery procedures. We support testing and prepare guidance for users and the support team.

Conditional Access

We review or define policies around users, applications, devices and access conditions. We prepare test groups, justified exclusions and validation criteria before enabling each policy.

Privileges and PIM

We review administrative roles and accounts and define when temporary elevation is required. Where licensing and scope permit, we configure PIM and its activation, review and monitoring procedures.

Users and guests

We define joiner, mover and leaver processes, guest ownership and access reviews. We select automation and governance capabilities according to requirements and available licensing.

Applications and hybrid identity

We review authentication dependencies for included applications and their relationship with on-premises directories, where present. SSO deployment, synchronization changes and integrations are scoped per application.

Design and implementation

Access changes with operational preparation

Test policies with real users and applications

A policy can affect an administrator, a remote user and an application with a specific authentication method differently. We therefore identify user groups and dependencies before deployment.

Where supported, we use evaluation modes and logs to assess impact. Activation is accompanied by access testing, support and criteria for stopping or rolling back a change if problems arise.

Prepare recovery and administration

The project includes the emergency accounts and procedures needed to retain control of the environment. Your team needs to know how to respond when an authentication method is lost or a policy prevents expected access.

We also define ownership of policies, privileges and periodic reviews. The design covers everyday operations: who approves, who implements and what documentation support teams need.

How we work

Review, test and activate in stages

01

Inventory

Identify the users, roles, applications and policies involved.

02

Design

Define controls, licensing, exceptions and recovery.

03

Testing

Validate access with representative users and applications.

04

Activation

Deploy by group and monitor incidents.

05

Operations

Hand over procedures, responsibilities and periodic reviews.

Deliverables

Project documentation and handover

  • Identity inventory and assessment for the agreed scope.
  • Policy design, target groups and justified exceptions.
  • Administrative role review and privilege recommendations.
  • Access testing, deployment and recovery plan.
  • Record of configurations and validation results.
  • Administration procedures and handover to IT.
Frequently asked questions

Scope, requirements and ongoing support

Can you review our existing policies?

Yes. We assess their purpose, target groups, exceptions and interaction with other policies. We present proposed changes and a test plan before modifying the environment.

Do we need Entra ID P1 or P2?

That depends on the required capabilities and your existing licenses. We check the availability of Conditional Access, PIM and the selected governance features, then specify requirements in the proposal.

How do you reduce the risk of a policy blocking users?

We identify user groups and applications, test changes and prepare recovery and support. Deployment proceeds in phases with validation criteria. The change window and procedure are agreed before activation.

Do you work with on-premises Active Directory environments?

Yes. We first review identity architecture and its dependencies. Synchronization, authentication and application changes are defined within a specific scope and tested against your environment.

Do you include external users and guests?

We can review their lifecycle, the owners who authorize access and the procedures for reviewing and removing it. We select capabilities according to your needs and available licenses.

Can you configure application SSO?

Yes, where the application and integration method support it. We request authentication requirements, the necessary administrative access and a technical contact to design and validate the integration.
